The Morrisville State men’s soccer team captured its third straight win to end the regular season, defeating Wells College 4-1 and improving to 14-3 overall and 12-1 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Morrisville outshot Wells (10-4-3 overall, 8-3-2 NEAC) 21-9 and had three players reach the scoring column, led by freshman forward Kessi Phillippe Nodjo with two goals. Seniors Joe Sheehan, a midfielder, and Alan Peckham, a defender, both contributed with a goal.
Wells College’s lone goal was an own goal committed by the Mustangs. Junior goalkeeper Owen May managed just seven saves from 11 shots on goal through 90 minutes of play for the Express.
The Mustangs finished in first place in the NEAC standings. The Mustangs are now awaiting postseason tournament information, which is to be announced soon.
