The Morrisville State women’s soccer team’s three-game winning streak came to an end with a 1-0 shutout loss at Cazenovia College Oct. 22, dropping their record to 6-8-1 overall and 5-7 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Mustangs senior goalkeeper Angela Marriott saved 12 out of 13 shots on goal through 90 minutes of play in the loss. Cazenovia (9-8-1, 6-5 NEAC) outshot Morrisville 21-15 and had a 12-6 edge in the second half. Sophomore forward Jordan Lidell was the lone scorer for her Wildcats. Junior goalkeeper Lauren Gee saved all eight shots on goal through 90 minutes of game time in Cazenovia’s winning effort.
The Mustangs will look to end the regular season with a win as they host Wells College in another NEAC game on Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
